About me

I'm Ariane, a yoga teacher trained in Bali.
Before I started teaching, I lived a very different kind of life.

For years, I worked in international cooperation, in Cambodia, in China, in France. Moving from place to place, in jobs that asked a lot of my body and almost nothing of my inner life. Yoga found me in Beijing, in 2018, as a refuge. The only place where my system would finally settle.

Two years later, in Grenoble, I was lucky enough to meet my teacher Valérie. Teaching in the Desikachar lineage, she helped me to understand that yoga is not something you do. It's something that does itself, when you slow down enough to let it. With her teaching I discovered Yoga beyond the poses, Vedic chanting, pranayama, zen meditation through yoga and meditation retreats. That's where the inner door opened.

In 2024 I left Paris and a life that didn’t nourish me and went to Bali. I lived for a year in Amed, a small village on the east coast, practicing daily with a Balinese teacher named Made. His yoga was traditional, deeply restorative, almost nothing of the more dynamic practices I'd known in Europe. What Amed taught me wasn't in the postures. It was in the rhythm, the morning offerings, the way time moved, the sense that practice is not separate from life. A sensibility I carry into every class.

I completed my 200H Yoga Teacher Training in Bali at the House of Om and I am currently training as a 300H Yoga & Ayurveda Wellness Consultant with Dr. David Frawley, where Ayurveda is understood as self-healing and Yoga as the practice of self-realization. This shapes what I teach now : slow practice, traditional Yoga Nidra, restorative postures. Quietly moving the practitioner toward sattva, the clarity that arrives when the system stops fighting itself.

I don't teach as someone who has arrived. I teach as someone walking the path beside you. The work happens underneath. One day you turn around, and you see a clearer mind, a steadier breath, a simplicity that feels natural. Not forced. Just there.
